Altseason Index

What the Altseason Index measures

How many of 45 major altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin over a rolling window. When most of them beat BTC the market is in altseason; when few do, Bitcoin is leading. The history goes back to 2017.

Why history is split around spot ETFs

Signals that preceded altseasons in 2018–2021 have behaved differently since 2022, as capital started entering crypto through Bitcoin and Ethereum funds. The page shows what followed each regime in both eras separately, so an old pattern is not mistaken for a current one.

Falling-knife filter and radar

A coin that is cheap against Bitcoin may simply be in a long decline. The falling-knife filter flags coins whose trend is still pointing down, and the radar highlights unusual volume spikes together with related news, as context for what is moving and why.
