Sometimes exchanges disagree with each other and the difference is free money. This scanner hunts those gaps — mainly funding-rate spreads, where you hold spot and short the perpetual and get paid the funding while staying market-neutral. Each signal is shown after fees, and anything below the minimum net edge is filtered out, because a 0.01% edge is a loss once you pay to enter. Read the net figure, not the gross one: it is the only number you actually receive.

The Inefficiency Scanner continuously monitors crypto derivatives and spot markets for pricing anomalies and structural imbalances that represent actionable trading opportunities. It covers funding rate extremes, cross-exchange spot spreads, open interest divergence, and perpetual-to-spot basis across over 150 altcoins.

How does funding rate arbitrage work?

When perpetual funding rates are extreme (above 0.05% per 8 hours, or 54% annualized), one side is significantly overpaying to hold their position. A delta-neutral strategy — long spot, short perpetual — collects this funding payment risk-free. The scanner highlights the altcoins with the highest current funding rates on Hyperliquid.
