News moves price, but reading fifty headlines tells you nothing. Every incoming headline is scored bullish, bearish or neutral, and the Market Sentiment bar is simply the balance between them — 50% means the flow is split, above means good news dominates, below means bad news does. The number is a crowd-mood gauge, not a signal: the tradable information is a mismatch between the two. When sentiment is extremely bearish and price refuses to fall, the bad news is already priced in and sellers are exhausted — that divergence is worth more than any single headline.
